Glenwood Winery appears in Decanter and The Guardian07/01/2014
Glenwood Wines have been amongst our portfolio now since the start of Hard to Find Wines. We have always loved the wines that winemaker DP Burger produces, from his easy drinking Glenwood Sauvignon Blanc to the more complex Glenwood Chardonnay Vignerons Selection.
In the February edition of Decanter this month, Glenwood was picked as one of the 6 vineyards to watch in the Franschhoek region. In particular DP's Chardonnay and Semillion cultivars are heralded for attention.
John Brunton, writer for the Guardian, has also returned from travels around the South African Cape Winelands and paid a visit to Glenwood. You can read his article here www.theguardian.com/travel/2014/jan/07/south-africa-cape-wine-route-top-10 which includes a glowing review of Glenwood as a must visit. Great wines and a personal touch thanks to DP in the main hosting tastings on the estate.
If you would like to visit the estate, please let us know and we will be happy to help arrange tastings with the winemaker, and we also have as part of our loyalty reward scheme a stay at the Glenwood Cottage and private tasting and tour on offer. Those not lucky enough to be heading to South Africa can always sample a little bit of Franschhoek at home, with Hard to Find Wines stocking the full range of Glenwood wines here in the UK.
