With the festive period now a distant memory, Hard to Find Wines are back on the lookout for new wines to add to our already delectable portfolio of wines. Whilst out and about on our Christmas travels we have hopefully found a few little gems that will get the taste buds drooling!

From South Africa we have now added a real cult wine from the Meerlust stable in the form of their flagship wine, the Meerlust Rubicon. The current 2008 vintage is just coming into drinking, although with the abundance of fruit and depth, will certainly continue to improve with age for at least another 10 years or even longer. At £19.99 this has to be a winner, having already received commendations at the Decanter Wine Awards along with a glowing 92 point score from Robert Parker.

For something a little more every day quaffing, we have added a range of white wines from Mud House in New Zealand. With the Mud House Sauvignon Blanc having been on our favourite local restaurants list for a few years now, enough has been consumed to categorically decide that this is a great quality Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and at less than £10 a bottle, a bargain!

In addition to the Mud House Sauvignon Blanc, we have also added their Waipara Riesling and South Island Pinot Gris, again both great examples of how New Zealand whites should be.

With plenty more new wines in the pipeline, we look forward to an exciting 2014 and as always we are more than happy to help with any wine (or non-wine) related queries here at our cosy Shropshire base on 01746 389749.
