There's something immensely refreshing in enjoying a glass of wine while sitting out in the open breeze in the summertime. Wine can be enjoyed when finishing a hard days work, or when family and friend's come over, it goes with all types of food so you can indulge in your favourite bottle, while relishing in your dinner.
But there are so many types of wines to choose from, It can be difficult to pick the right one, especially with the seasons changing, in the summer you want to enjoy a ripening, fruity, delicious glass, to help put you in a relaxing, carefree summery mood!
Bladen Sauvignon Blanc 2014
One of my top favourites is Bladen Sauvignon Blanc 2014 from Marlborough's Wairau Valley (in the North Eastern corner of the South Island of New Zealand). The shallow surface and quick draining soils along the river terraces aid infertility, a condition perfectly suited for Sauvignon Blanc is what makes this type of wine perfect! The beautiful blazing hot sunshine through the day, and lovely cold breezes within the night, assist in the ripening of the grapes, leading to a beautiful combination of fruit and acidity.
Haut Cabriere Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2014
Another favourite is Haut Cabriere Chardonnay Pinot Noir, this 2014 beautiful vintage wine is a must- have this summer. You need to give it a try, the mix of 60% Chardonnays elegance of peach and lychee, along with 40% Pinot Noir's intensity, and the explosive flavour of red fruit is unbelievable. Together they provide a mouth- watering, appetizing taste.
