For thousands of years the Ribera Del Duoro has been producing some of the finest quality wines from around the world. Situated in a northern plateau in Spain the region follows the course of the Duero river – the area remains largely flat although does have some rocky terrain. The summer is long and dry in this part of the world with temperatures soaring up to 40 degrees, although this is countered by the harsh winters which can see dips of -18 degrees.
The Ribera Del Duoro primarily produce red grapes, with only one variety of white present in the area, which combined with the long ageing process leads to a high complexity and a truly unique taste.
