Production of Rioja wine, made from a blend of grape varieties including Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano, has been going on in Northern Spain’s La Rioja region since Phoenicians settled there in the 11th Century.
The ancient Romans also tried their hand at making Rioja wine.
Today, the region is home to over 61,000 hectares of planted vineyards. It’s split into three key areas; Alta, Alavesa and Baja, all of which produce different varieties and complexities of wine. At Hard To Find Wines, we have carefully selected some of the finest imports from these areas to ensure that we provide an excellent offering to you.
