Gusbourne Estate was founded in 2003 by Andrew Weeber, planting around 20 hectares of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with 2006 seeing the first vintage released although only in minute quantities. Gusbourne Estate is positioned on the lower slopes of the ancient Kentish area at Appledore and is wholly south facing. Strictly limited yields which are handpicked and then gently pressed. The estate at Gusbourne has already won numerous awards and looks set to continue this trend.
The estate at Gusbourne has already won numerous awards including 'English Wine Producer of the Year' and the 'International Trophy for Best Bottle Fermented Sparkling Wine' at the 2013 International Wine & Spirits Competition, and looks set to pick up further awards in the future.
