Bladen is located in Marlborough's Wairau Valley in the North Eastern corner of the South Island. The shallow, stony and fast-draining soils along the river terraces aid infertility, a condition which perfectly suits Sauvignon Blanc. Hot sunshine during the day and cold ocean breezes at night extend the ripening period in the grapes which leads to a balance of complex fruit and acidity.
