Declared Vintage Port Years available at Hard to Find Wines. Prior to the 1990's the traditon was to only declare 3 vintage years in a decade, however, from the 1990's onwards this tradition was dropped, with multiple years in a decade now declared. In many cases declarations in the last 20 years have been split between the port houses. We try to stock only from the best years, and not from the lesser declarations.
Please note stocks are limited for these wines and all have been bonded with London City Bond or are direct from the port cellars. Available by individual bottles or cases.
1980 - Similar to 1983, very good wines and generally declared vintage.
1983 - An exceptional year with wonderfully powerful wines. 1977 and 1985 vintages appealed more so 1983 is a good value Port. Declared by most houses.
1985 - A classic Vintage Port; the wines are rich and strong. General declaration.
2000 - Volumes were low in 2000. However the wines were rich and strong.
2003 - These wines have traditional tannin based tones with rich fruit flavours. General declaration, still require ageing.
2007 - An exceptional year producing top quality ports, declared by most houses.
