Chateau Ksara is Lebanon\'s oldest winery producing an array of whites and reds along with one of its most famous wines, Arak, an aniseed based Eau de Vie. The history of Chateau Ksara dates back to 1857, and although the vineyard is a household name in Lebanon, here in the UK is often over shadowed by the better known Chateau Musar. Like Chateau Musar, Chateau Ksara is situated in the microclimate of the Bekaa Valley which although receiving on average around 240 days of sunshine a year, at 1200m above sea level also enjoys cooler nights helping the growing conditions of the grapes.
