Originally established in 1965, Upington Cellars first harvest was in 1968 and is now under the name of Orange River Cellars. The wines from the region are produced at cellars including Groblershoop, Grootdrink, Kakamas an Keimos. Although the surrounding areas are generally arid and harsh, the Orange River provides sustainance in order to produce quality vines from which the Orange River Cellars range of wines comes.
On the edge of the Kalahari desert, the soils are red and provide minerality to the vines which is translated into many of the wines produced by Orange River Cellars. Offering outstanding value for money, we have been incredibly impressed with the range of wines produced in Upington, and are delighted to now offer them to our UK clients. We are pleased to offer any further information on this newly imported range of wines that have long been enjoyed the other side of the world all around South Africa and other locations.
