Although a huge continent, the majority of Australia's wine production is based in the South East of the country. Although now often more well known for cheaper commercial wines, there are still hundreds of smaller producers focussing on high quality low yield wines. At the pinnacle there is of course Penfold's, with their Grange Bin 95 often referred to as the ultimate Australian expression and in the same company as top wines from around the world.
