Perrieres is a Premier Cru vineyard at the southern end of Meursault, considered by many to be the commune's best. Located on the midslope of the Cote d'Or escarpment, the vineyard's aspect and terrior are exceptionally well suited to growing Chardonnay. Perrieres Premier Cru white wines are some of the best produced in Burgundy, second only to the various Montrachet Grand Crus.
