Mineral-rich water and long fermentations develop sweet blackberry characteristics in our spirit before it even touches the oak of the cask.
Matured in first fill Tennessee Whiskey and finished in first fill Bordeaux red wine casks – expect almond, hazelnut, and sweet spice flavours from the American oak, and caramel, toffee and creamy chocolate notes from the previous Tennessee Whiskey contents. The French oak Bordeaux red wine finishing brings savoury spice and blackberry jam to the fore, enhancing the dark fruit flavours and adding another layer of complexity to the whisky.
