Patina has landed in the UK. Both the Syrah and Chenin Blanc come from Goldmine Farm, purchased in 2014 by Boekenhoutskloof. The name Patina is derived from its source. Relating gold prospectors with their mining pans and the patina that developed on their equipment over time.
Goldmine Property is situated on the Riebeeksrivier Road, between Riebeek-Kasteel and Malmesbury and sits on the southwestern slopes of the Kasteelberg. This pocket of the Swartland undoubtedly produces some of the finest grapes in the appellation.
